Mission Statement: My goal is to offer designs simple enough for any average person to build their own solar panels or wind turbine systems using step by step instructions. Giving you the advantage of starting small in your design, and slowly building up your system for maximum power output for either your home or business. Reducing major manufacture or contractor costs. Ultimately, allowing you to stop being held hostage by your electrical company.   ~Joe Rizz

In this economy, sometimes the planet takes a backseat. We stress about paying our bills and getting the best deal for everything.

With solar and wind energy, you can have more money in your pocket. Now, there is a cost saving way to do just that.

Did you know that if you have solar or wind energy and produce more energy than your home needs you can sell the excess energy to the power company? Yes, with solar and wind energy you can not only save that money you would normally pay to the power company.

Save Up to $1,000 each year on your electric bill!

Instead of spending thousands a year on high power bills, for a small investment of only $200 you can start building your own system, and start seeing the savings. The step-by-step instructions in our manual can help you start making your home a money making, energy saving, greener home! No degrees or expensive equipment are required to learn about or install solar power or wind power equipment.

That's right, forget about spending $5,000 or more for factory-made windmills and complete solar panels because if you can follow simple step-by-step instructions and invest approximately $200.00 USD, then you can start transforming your energy-using home into an energy producing "green home"!

Stop letting the power companies continue to raise your rates and take money out of your pockets. Make your home or business greener by learning how solar energy and wind energy can help you save money and make a greener planet for everyone.

DIY Solar Panel Kits Make your own solar panels! Do It Yourself solar panel kits include the solar product components that will allow the buyer to assemble components together towards making a solar panel, and might save money compared to buying finished products. It can be a great money saving measure and very educational at the same time. Each kit contains the essential DIY components you need to connect solar cells: solar cells, tabbing wires, bus wire, a flux pen, and solder. Just encapsulate your connected solar cells to make solar power right away! These kits come in pre-packaged group of cells in the number of 36, 50, 108, 150, 200 cells. Please note that we recommend that the panels that you use be used in off grid battery charging application. For higher voltage grid tied projects, it's best to buy the professionally made UL certified panels and consult a solar professional.

The solar cells used in our DIY solar panels kits consist of two slightly different kinds of Evergreen solar cells, Evergreen Devens cells and Evergreen German cells. Typically marked with .5v3.6a in the title of listings, Evergreen Devens cells are characterized by its pronounced multi crystalline look with a more visible mosaic look front side. The front side smoother, showing the base wafer's multi crystalline grain boundaries more pronouncedly. It resembles traditional multi crystalline solar cells more. Evergreen German cells have a slid blue front side, with a more shiny finish, and can show some surface wrinkles from the natural wafer growth method from the base materials. Both are excellent cells, and German cells are sometimes sold in pretabbed format, whereas Devens Evergreen cells are often sold in untabbed format. Even the tabbed cells are only tabbed on the front side. Devens cells have slightly higher efficiency, and the cells that we sell here have fairly consistent power.

Solar Terminology defined
  • Inverter: A device that converts direct current from a solar array (or wind     turbine, or batteries) into AC, the 110 or 220 volts of alternating current used in typical households.
  • Kilowatt (kW): 1,000 watts; the power required to light up 10 100-watt bulbs.
  • Kilowatt-hour (kWh): A unit of energy use (typically used in home billing) equal to 1,000 watts over the period of one hour. Ten 100-watt light bulbs consume 1 kWh over the course of an hour. A typical NE household (usa) uses between 600 and 800 kWh per month.
  • Megawatt (mw): 1 million watts. The generating capacity of a small hydroelectric plant.
  • Net metering: A transaction that requires a local utility to measure and credit a customer for surplus energy generated at a residence or business.
